Explore the flexibility to build your business around your life, with greater choice in when, where and how you work.

WHAT COULD THIS LOOK LIKE?

Next Chapter to Clarity is about exploring what comes next - personally, professionally and in the way we choose to work.

For many people, there comes a point when the traditional way of working no longer provides the flexibility, independence or possibilities they are looking for.

This business model offers an opportunity to explore another path - combining personal development and leadership education with the potential to build an independent business around your life.

It’s not about overnight success or promises of easy results. It’s about having access to established systems, training and support, and deciding whether the opportunity aligns with what you want from your own next chapter.

We often have a pretty good idea of what we want our next chapter to look like. The question is finding the right way to get there.

THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE:

After more than 30 years in business, I reached a point where I started questioning whether the way I had always worked was really how I wanted to spend the next chapter of my life.

I’d built businesses, worked in engineering-related industries and experienced both the successes and the setbacks that come with working for yourself.

But over the last few years, 50–60 hour working weeks had become the norm. I knew I wanted more flexibility and greater control over my time - without simply replacing one demanding way of working with another.

I had a pretty clear picture of the life I wanted for the next 20 or 30 years. What I didn’t yet have was the right vehicle to help me get there.

THE BUSINESS THAT WAS A BUST:

One of the biggest lessons came from my involvement in franchise businesses. Managing businesses with significant overheads and a large number of staff demanded an enormous amount of time, energy and responsibility.

Ultimately, the businesses failed, and the financial impact was significant. It was a difficult experience, but it also changed the way I thought about business.

I learned that working harder, employing more people and carrying more overhead doesn’t necessarily create greater freedom. A business can grow in size while the person behind it ends up with less time, more pressure and greater financial exposure.

That experience stayed with me. If I was going to build something again, I knew I wanted to explore a very different kind of business model.

AN INTEREST IN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:

Personal development has been an interest of mine for many years. I’ve always been curious about the way we think, the choices we make and how our perspective can influence the direction our lives take.

Over the years, I’ve explored a range of personal development ideas and teachings. Some have resonated more than others, but collectively they’ve encouraged me to question conventional thinking, remain open to new ideas and continue learning.

That interest became particularly relevant as I started thinking more seriously about what I wanted from the next chapter of my life - and the kind of person, as well as the kind of business, I wanted to develop along the way.

“I wasn’t looking for more of the same. I was looking for a different way to build what comes next.”

THE BUSINESS THAT MADE ME THINK DIFFERENTLY:

What caught my attention was that it challenged many of the assumptions I’d developed around business. It introduced me to a different way of thinking - one that brought together personal development, leadership education and the opportunity to build something that felt more aligned with the future I wanted to create.

More importantly, I could see the potential to build something with greater flexibility - something that could be developed around the life I wanted to create, rather than allowing the business to dictate the life I had to live.

I’m still building that next chapter myself. But for the first time in a long time, I feel I’m exploring a vehicle that is much more aligned with where I want to go.

If you’re questioning what you want from the next chapter of your working life, or simply curious about whether there might be another way forward, take some time to explore what’s possible.
You don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes the first step is simply being open to a different possibility.
